About Duct Doctor DMV
About Us
Since opening our doors for business back in 2000, B&B Commercial Cleaning Services has been associated with a high level of quality and professionalism. That’s largely because of our concerted effort to deepen the connections we have within Connecticut and New York communities and to continuously improve the personalized services we provide.
Why Duct cleaning?
Indoor Air Quality is a concern for all of us – whether at work or at home.
Contaminants such as dust, dander, microbial growth, vermin (and their droppings), and bugs can collect in the ductwork.
These contaminants circulate throughout a home or office every time the system runs.
Dirty ducts may contribute to health issues like respiratory conditions, autoimmune disorders, and environmental allergies.
Duct Doctor was established to improve air quality, help HVAC systems run better, and preserve the function of sensitive equipment.
In addition to cleaning HVAC ductwork, we also apply an anti-microbial treatment to areas in the ducts where visible microbial growth is found.
Mold, fungi, bacteria, pet dander, and dust collect and build up in air ducts.
Contaminants and pollutants are pulled into your home’s HVAC system and re-circulated 5 to 7 times per day.
Allergy and asthma sufferers are more susceptible to poor indoor air quality.
How does it work?
- 10,000 cubic feet per minute of suction is delivered by our unique vacuum truck to an access port created in your duct system.
- 150-200 psi of air is then applied to inside of duct surfaces through various tools attached to hollow poles. This separates the debris from the walls of your ductwork.
- The combination of high pressure agitation and heavy suction immediately conducts the debris out of your home or office, directly into our truck, where it is hauled away and safely disposed of.
What happens on Arrival?
- Our technicians connect the truck-powered vacuum to your home or office’s air handler with a 10″ hose.
- Next, a high-velocity air sweeper is inserted into the ductwork, which is controlled by a hose connected to the truck’s air compressor that supplies up to 200 pounds of air pressure.
- The vacuum and cleaning apparatus used together ensure that all contaminants are removed from the ductwork and stored outside in the truck’s debris collector for safe disposal.
